Within the heart of downtown exists F1C, a fire station and a community court servicing homeless individuals. The building uniquely utilizes the formal cues of our downtown 6th street site such as arches, vaults, and the utilization of brick to enable a familiar civic presence while embracing the eclectic identity Austin is struggling to hold onto.
The facades are composed of brick patchwork to align with the character of our historic site but to also stitch together to make a cohesive body, in the same way, our building services a variety of civic groups from firefighters to case managers to homeless people unifying the miscellaneous.
