From the Summer of 2021 to Winter 2021, I had the privilege of interning at JAJA Architects in Copenhagen, Denmark. Is a wonderful firm of 18 people plus our office dog, Utzon. JAJA works on projects at a variety of scales from a small market pavilion to master planning communities. You might know them for their Park ‘N Play.

30 minutes from Copenhagen is Valhøj Skol, a school built in the 50’s originally designed by Hans Harvig Skaarup. With the unique character embodying the principles of Danish Design, Jaja, in collaboration with Skala Architects worked towards updating the school’s facilities while still maintaining traditional design aspects. 

I worked heavily in the conceptual design phase, 3d modeling and visualizations. Valhøj Skol is a sports oriented school in need of activity inducing design so I was able to create an activity catalog with super graphics, field and sports elements. The expansion of the school will allow for an addition of 350 kids.
